About Us
The Agency that Cares!
Abeam Crew was born as a start-up end of 2023 to become a bespoke recruitment agency that goes far further and beyond just an extra mile for each and every of its clients.
Looking back at 2024 as our first year of business we are proud to have significantly grown our client database and to have already successfully assisted some noble yachts to find their “perfect fits” of the crew they missed and longed for, which, on another hand, means quite a number of content candidates that have found their dream of a job.
This has been possible because we at Abeam Crew are no newcomers to the industry. Our founders, Maya Vinograd and Tatiana K. Lüders, have spent all their adult professional lives in yachting, with Maya accomplishing a successful career onboard and Tatiana acquiring unique knowledge of owner asset management alongside team building expertise.
Decision to unite such expertise mix under the umbrella of a recruitment agency seemed like an organic further step for both Maya and Tatiana and so Abeam Crew was launched with support of the stakeholders that believed in the competitive advantage of the market proposition of the start-up.
One of important development steps was to get Melissa Ramm “into the boat” to boost company’s visibility and strengthen our industry network.
From day of business inception, we, at Abeam Crew, have seen our core strengths in bespoke, tailored approach to recruiting, headhunting and placement on behalf of our clients.
We listen carefully, we research thoroughly, we check every reference and every industry network feedback we can collect to ensure that every candidate we place, and each vacancy we offer are such that would make our clients, both boats and crew, praise our hard work and return when a need of recruitment services arises.
We succeed and excel, get better every day, because we look at every placement through the prism of the eye of our client.
We take time that is needed to provide such excellence of a service, because our philosophy is that only the best is yet good enough.
Join us on your next recruitment journey to feel the difference and understand what we mean when we say that our slogan is
The Agency that Cares!
Yours truly

Born and raised near the Mediterranean coast, I have always had a fascination with the sea. This led me to pursue studies in Marine Biology and Oceanography, and I completed my B.Sc. in this field. My academic knowledge and understanding of the sea were boosted by practical skills when I took part in a transatlantic delivery to the Caribbean on a 40-foot racing yacht in 2008. That experience changed my life, and I decided to pursue a career in the industry.
I sailed the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, and the Pacific on both sail and motor yachts, expanding my knowledge of the trade, the sea, and the exotic locations along the routes.
The vast experience I gained on these incredible journeys helped me realize the importance of having a reliable and professional crew. My years in the industry enabled me to develop an extensive HR network which, coupled with my sharp eye for talent, serves me and will soon serve you in headhunting and recruiting individuals, that would come compatible with any client’s needs.
And I am sure I will provide you with a feeling of success throughout our entire process of collaboration that will ultimately result in successful placement.
