Abeam crew are hiring for a Chief Stewardess on a modern 40m sailing yacht with a primarily private itinerary and light regatta involvement. The ideal candidate will be confident in leading interior operations while remaining hands-on and adaptable in a dynamic sailing program.
Requirements:
– Previous experience as Chief Stew or Sole Stew on similar-sized vessels
– Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage interior operations, inventories, and junior crew
– Excellent time management and administrative capability (guest logistics, correspondence, etc.)
– Comfortable assisting on deck when needed; enjoys a team-focused environment
– Past regatta or deck/stew experience is a would be a plus.
– Proactive and self-sufficient during quieter periods between trips
– Holds Food Hygiene Level 2 certification
– STCW and ENG1 in Date
Specifications:
Leave: Up to 60 days.
Salary: DOE, competitive for the right candidate
